Applications for Standard Visitor Visas


The Standard Visitor visa is designed for individuals who wish to come to the UK for the purpose of undertaking sporting activities.

A sportsperson may take part in a sports tournament or sports event as an individual or part of a team; make personal appearances and take part in promotional activities; take part in trials provided they are not in front of a paying audience; take part in short periods of training provided they are not being paid by a UK sporting body; and join an amateur team or club to gain experience in a particular sport.

Personal or technical staff of the sports person, or sports officials, may support the activities mentioned above, if they are attending the same event as the sports person, and are employed to work for them outside the UK.


Applications for Permitted Paid Engagement Visas


The Permitted Paid Engagement visa is for individuals over the age of 18 who wish to come to the UK for a short paid engagement. During your stay you will be able to undertake certain specific activities. For example, a professional footballer may enter to give a paid interview and also attend meetings to discuss a contract.


Applications for International Sportsperson Visas


The International Sportsperson visa is for elite sportspersons and qualified sports coaches who are recognised as being at the highest level of their sport internationally. You will need to be sponsored on a short or long-term contract and have been endorsed by an appropriate UK sports governing body.

Applications for Standard Visitor Visas

The Standard Visitor visa is designed for individuals who wish to come to the UK for the purpose of undertaking creative activities.

An artist, entertainer or musician may give performances as an individual or as part of a group; take part in competitions or auditions; make personal appearances and take part in promotional activities; and take part in one or more cultural events or festivals on the list of permit free festivals.

Personal or technical staff or members of the production team of an artist, entertainer or musician may support the above-mentioned activities, providing they are attending the same event as the artist, entertainer or musician, and are employed to work for them outside of the UK.

Film crew (actor, producer, director or technician) employed by an overseas company may visit the UK to take part in a location shoot for a film or programme that is produced and financed overseas.

Applications for Permitted Paid Engagement Visas

The Permitted Paid Engagement visa is open to arts and entertainment professionals over the age of 18 who wish to come to the UK for a short paid engagement.

Applications for Global Talent Visas

The Global Talent route is for individuals who are internationally recognised as world leaders in their field (exceptional talent) or recognised as having the potential to become world leaders in the future (exceptional promise).

Applications for Skilled Worker Visas

The Skilled Worker category is for individuals who have an offer of a skilled job in the UK from a licensed Skilled Worker Sponsor. This category includes applicants coming to the UK to fill shortage occupations. You will need to have an offer of employment before applying for a visa

Applications for Temporary Work – Creative Worker Visas

The Temporary Work – Creative Worker category is for individuals who have been offered short-term work in the UK for up to 12 months within the creative sector. You will need to have an offer of a position before applying for a visa.
